about

A Special Cycledelic Sister Single-The "Sounds of Psychomania" featuring "Witch Hunt" + "Living Dead" (Previously only available on the 5 Song 'Midnight Snack' EP from Halloween 2020)
Now get both iconic John Cameron/FROG compositions from the 1973 'Psychomania' Soundtrack, as covered by Sister Midnight. Both on one single. Right here, Right now.

About the tunes:
‘Witch Hunt’ The instrumental theme song from ‘Psychomania’ The UK cult Horror/Biker/Comedy film from 1973 (also titled ‘The Death Wheelers’) starring Nicky Henson, Beryl Reid & George Sanders. Original score by John Cameron
'Living Dead' is a Bikerdelic bonehead cruncher, used throughout the film in different tempos. This version is closest to the Frog single version, with it's Junkshop Glam drum sound behind the grinding Fuzz & Hamomnd organ melody.

True horror aficionados/soundtrack nerds will note that there are 2 versions of these songs 1-The original score that is actually heard in the film 2-The 1973 45 RPM release. Recorded under the band name 'FROG', both written/produced by J. Cameron and featuring some of England’s top session musicians of the 1960’s/70’s playing on both versions.

The Sister Midnight interpretation is a bit of a combo of these two versions, since both have their own charm & sonic differences. The single version of ‘Witch Hunt’ is a haunting & moody groover that always drew me to this film whenever it was shown on late night TV in the 1970’s. With it’s eerie Hammond B3 organ laden creep, along with the defacto B-Movie funkadelic Wah-Wah, Bongos and Fuzz guitar licks and demonic/angelic Female choir backing vocals. Still one of my fave films of all time, regardless of the high Cheese content.
